my dog has changed since i had him neutered?
I have a 2 year old german shepherd. at the vets advice i had him neutered about six month’s ago. A month or two ago i noticed he’d started barking a lot more and recently he’s started growling at friends kids. I have three children myself and i’ve not heard him growl at any of them, but i’m worried about what he’ll do next. I spoke to my vet and he said just to keep an eye on him Has anyone else had the same problem?

Nope and I seriously doubt it has anything to do with him getting neutered.

Putting Global Warming aside…?
Ok, so try to answer this without bringing "Global Warming" "Climate Change" or anything like that into the mix.

Is it really all that bad to want more fuel efficient cars, cleaner waters, lands and air, less waste that can be reused and generally a better environment to live in?
A fuel efficient car means you spend less buying gas and have more money to buy other things.
Cleaner water, land and air means you can enjoy more of what the world has to offer, like not filtering your water; or worrying about what the food on your table, such as pork beef or fish, has in it; and you don’t have to check the weather to see what contamination might be in the air.
Reusing stuff that would be thrown away means less has to be produced, creating less of a strain on the resources that it comes from such as plastics made from oil, hardwoods being logged and clothing from both natural and synthetic sources.
Lastly, a better environment means you can grow more food crops, feed more people, live better lives.

Forget the global weather and the stupid politics and think for yourself; Is it really that awful of an idea to ask for these things?

Nope, but humans are natually lazy beings and technically if we just get along there won’t be wars or genocides either, what I’m saying is that true you point out a really good point with the flaw in what people think. They use the "g" word because it puts in effect a more dire situation and urges people to do somthing about it. People don’t want to put money into buying a fuel efficient car or looking into nonreneable resources cuz they would rather use the money into doing other stuff. Also it doesn’t help that most of the most powerful and corrupt businesses out there don’t care about the envrionment or mankind. They would keep fighting for there resources to be the main product in our world and drain out every last drop of water/oil/ etc for themselves and there pockets before they would turn to more efficent ways. I know it sucks but that’s the truth

I’d love to see most of those things but they just cost too much. Governments tax us & Industry hikes prices to pay for such measures and IMO it’s not money well spent - especially the money that the government take.

I don’t think you will find anyone that wants dirty water , lands, or air. I would bet that almost everyone tries hard to improve the pollution situation. As a matter of fact I used to be much more of environmentally active, but when the eco-nuts started nagging and whining everyday about saving an accorn or a snail, I and I believe millions of other people have begun to stop leaning towards eco practices. The Eco-people are so annoying and utterly hate-able, they are actually hurting their own cause. I actually don’t do more because I don’t want to be associated with these eco-people in anyway, shape or form.

As far as the eco cars, they are god awful little snot-boxes, that are absolutely devoid of any redeeming qualities except there get slightly better gas mileage. So why should I drive something that I hate to get 5 to 8 MPG better fuel economy and be miserable. When they come out with a car that goes from 0-60 in 5 secs and gets 34 MPG I’ll buy one, until then I won’t.

All of that could have been done years ago had the government stayed out of it and the people have become educated .. Government started building cars back in the late sixties and since then they just use more and more fuel ….

We are in the position where we are having to pay more and more for things now, because of the Environmentalists. You cannot even build a house anymore with out doing and Ecological study, if there is a tiny bug there, then you cannot build or even clear the land to build a house. Years ago they dug canals in the San Joaquin valley for agricultural irrigation. Now a small fish has moved into those canals, and they have cut off all of the water for irrigation, and now over 50,000 people in Central California are out of work because of this, so that we can protect the fish. We put the canals in, and the fish came, but now it is more important to protect the fish. We are carrying these things to far. They outlawed Freon for Air Conditioning because they found a hole in the ozone and said it had caused it. Then they admitted that they had not know about it before as they had never looked for it, and that is closes and opens on its own and they are not even sure if Freon did indeed cause it. They outlawed DDT pesticides and said that it was killing off birds, as they were getting trace amounts of it and their eggs shells were to thin and breaking. Well they have since proved that DDT had nothing to do with the eggs weak shells. Also in the mean time, the mosquito population has gone crazy World Wide, and they cannot control them and the diseases they carry and transmit.
So no, I do not think they are going in the right direction. They are trying to make alternative fuels, and they are being subsidized by the Federal Government, and they actually cost more to refine than regular Gases, and do not have the same amount of BTU’s thus cars get less miles per gallon using them. No, I definetly think we need to get the EPA and the Government out of our lives. As far as fuel efficient cars, the cars before they started adding all of the smog equipment got fairly good mileage. I had a chevy which got 19-23 miles per gallon, and it was a 1959. My uncle had a ‘63 Pontiac Bonneville which got 21, I later owned a ‘69 Olds Cutlass that got 19.
I now have a ‘91 Ford that only gets 12-13. What have we gained??

china and other countries are going to be the next super polluters and earth will not support our habits for ever, one thing that bothers me is the bees and butterfly populations crashing which effects our crops, and fish populations crashing as well even in local ponds.

i know change is scary for some but lets get a head start before we are forced to change for survival.

Are North American societies more insecure nowadays? Do we no longer believe in "absolute evils?"?
All I have is speculation. I haven’t been around in this life for a very long time so I’m just wondering about some stuff. I went to my doctor a couple of weeks back and he’s a pretty old guy and I couldn’t help but wonder about the lifetime he lived in. I don’t want to sound rude or accuse him of being inept of his job (he seemed to be an old jolly, englishman), but he seemed kind of "out of touch" with modern times and youth-related problems. I mean, he sort of assessed me solely on physical examination to determine that I was "perfectly fine" and it was almost like he was implying that as long as you can walk and breathe, you’re fine. I mean, there was nothing I mean, there was nothing wrong with me and I was glad for that, but I just thought that was kind of dumb way to assess individuals. Plot: The movie is a celebrity version of Garrison Keillor’s radio show of the same name. The movie takes place during the last live performance of the show as the new radio network owners have sent an axeman (Tommy Lee Jones)to close the show. Another fantasy element is thrown in as an angel (Virginia Madsen) stalks the theater to take one of the performers. Keillor essentially plays himself, even using his own name for the character. Lily Tomlin and Meryl Streep play the singing Johnson Sisters, with Lindsay Lohan as a suicide-obsessed daughter of Streep. Woody Harrelson and John C. Reilly are hilarious as the slightly off-color singing cowboy duo, Dusty & Lefty. Kevin Kline is a security guard who act as the narrator. Maya Rudolph also appears as a pregnant stage coordinator. Contains some mild sexually-oriented jokes.

Are there any generic codes for my phillips universal remote?? I cant find my model on the website and its driving me crazy.

There really is no such thing as "generic" when it comes to remote controls.

The transmitted remote data is very specific, with specific protocols and data bits for the device and each button. Each remote code in a universal remote, is a reference to a database entry with that very specific data.

The least you can do is a code search, which most universals can do. The most you can do is try a newer remote from a major brand of universal remotes.
